The Solarelli nickel-free Piccadilly tomato is a typical product of Sicily, where it is cultivated with care by our growers who ensure that it maintains a nickel residue of less than 0.01 mg/kg.
Our line of nickel-free vegetables also includes two other tomato varieties, the datterino and the ciliegino.
Small in size and with a characteristic oval shape, nickel-free Piccadilly tomatoes are characterised by their bright red colour.
The flesh is juicy and has a sweet flavour.
This variety grows in clusters and is rich in vitamins and mineral salts.
The nickel-free Piccadilly tomato is perfect for preparing tomato passata, but it is also excellent for baking au gratin or if you want to add kick to a fresh salad or torta salata (savoury pie).
This product is available from June to September.
