This lemon variety, which is high in vitamin C, has a deep yellow, thick and wrinkled peel, and a very juicy flesh. Besides many possible dessert recipes, they are ideal in cooking to add flavour to meat and fish dishes and to make the famous Italian limoncello. The marketing season for Lemons from Sicily is from December to April.
