Abate Fetel pear

With their elongated shape, Solarelli Abate Fetel pears are prized for their sweet flavour and juicy flesh. Despite being native to France, this variety has become popular in Italy as it is well suited to temperate climates and fertile, well-drained soils. Rich in fibre, Abate Fetel pears have a smooth and thin peel, rusty yellow in colour, and a white, juicy flesh. Aside from being eaten as they are, they are ideal for making both sweet and savoury dishes, as they retain their texture even when cooked. The Solarelli product line also includes the PGI Pear of Emilia-Romagna.
The marketing season for Abate Fetel pears is from October to March. All Solarelli-branded Abate Fetel pears meet quality standards in terms of taste, aroma, flavour and sweetness, ensuring a consistently excellent product.
